Niels (formerly ‘Orlando van den Hogenkamp’) comes from a pedigree that includes harness horse blood on the sire’s side. His dam is also the dam of Dirk BP80, and his great-granddam on the maternal side was bred by the well-known KFPS inspector Harm Mulder and is Ster Preferent. Orlando is a generously sized, large-framed stallion with a solid and correct build. He is in good condition and shows plenty of breed expression. He has a strong foundation, with hard limbs of sufficient length. His walk is regular, though it could be more ground-covering. In trot, he shows an expressive, reaching foreleg with good suppleness and flexion in the hock. His canter is easy, and he steps well underneath himself.
