Within the Barock Pinto Studbook, we would like to once again remind our members of the importance of timely transferring ownership of horses in the event of purchase and/or sale.
In addition to being a natural part of correct registration, it is especially important from an administrative perspective to arrange this properly and without delay. In short: correct ownership registration ensures that everything can be processed faster, more clearly, and without errors — for both you and us.
When a horse is not registered under the correct owner, this can lead to:
- incorrect invoicing (for example memberships, registrations, or services)
- delays in processing requests such as foal registrations or show entries
- uncertainty about who is responsible for the horse within our system
- additional administrative work for both the owner and our office
- extra costs, for example in foal registrations when a parent animal is not correctly registered in the system
Members can easily log in via Mijn BPS to check their details and view their registered horses. Please verify that your horses are correctly registered in your name. This is also important for entering inspections and IBOP tests.
What do we ask from you?
Have you bought or sold a horse? Please check whether the ownership has already been transferred in the system. If this has not yet been done, we kindly request that you arrange this as soon as possible. How can you do this?
- The seller indicates via “Mijn BPS” that the horse has been sold.
- The buyer indicates via “Mijn BPS” that the horse has been purchased.
- The studbook certificate must be completed and sent to the office.
- If the studbook certificate has been lost, you can request a duplicate.
- If the horse originates from another studbook than the BPS, please send a copy of the studbook certificate to info@barockpintostudbook.com stating “horse registration”.
- If the horse does not have studbook papers but does have pedigree information in the passport, please send a copy of the passport to info@barockpintostudbook.com stating “horse registration”.
